I discovered design in high school as recommended by my art teacher at the time. She inspired me to take courses at Temple University over the summer which created a passion for design that I can’t shake. Since that pivotal summer, I have worked to understand design and explore the place I belong within the field, combining my other hobbies with design. I chose to continue my education at Drexel University’s Westphal College of Design gaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Graphic Design and a minor in art history.
I am an avid consumer of art and art history at large and like to inform my work with current and past design ideas taking inspiration from physical works of art and design theory. Music plays a large part in my work, I am constantly listening to music while I create, depending on the project certain playlists, genres, and musicians help push my work in the right direction.
The world at large inspires me and I am eager to try new approaches to design challenges. Each project I take on spurs a need to understand the challenge put forth, researching, and fully immersing myself in conceptualizing both the content and the best way to communicate to an audience visually. I work iteratively and often have many ideas I like to see fully realized.
When I’m not creating I am spending time with my cat willow, watching various YouTube videos and making my own art all at the same time. I also love watching live music and supporting local musicians.
